This book is represented as a simple presentation of PowerPoint, and that's just what it is. I looked at several books, and this one seemed to be the clearest. I have been a PowerPoint user for many years, but 2010 was a wholesale change for me, so I wanted to brush up on basic new features in an organized way. I learned several things from this book that made it worth the price. Rather than used it in the suggested fashion (as a reference), I read it all the way through. If you want a clear, simple presentation of PowerPoint 2010, this is for you. Please note that not all of the books in this series are the same. They are by different authors and the clarity will not necessarily be the same.

Do not buy this book!! I have new reading glasses and still cannot read the screenshots, which are on every page of the book along with explanatory text. The screenshots are invaluable in figuring out how to use PowerPoint. I wish I had paid attention to others' reviews about this book when they pointed out this problem. Amazing that this book even got published like this!! I am going to purchase a different book.

My older parents wanted to learn how to use PowerPoint... and they reported back that this was a great book for them to learn. It is written in simple language for someone that is not very computer savy to learn PowerPoint.

If you are new to Power Point, just want a refresher, or need to know some advanced features, this book is for you. This book is not organized well but it does have a lot of useful photos. For more advanced users get something else.

If you use PowerPoint, this is a pretty good book. You will learn some tips and techniques to prevent "Death by PowerPoint" It may not make you the ultimate presenter, but it will make you better at what you do with PowerPoint.

I attended a workshop on how to us Microsoft 2010 Power Point to create book trailers. Being an author I felt I would give this a try. Between the workshop and the book I am halfway through creating my first book trailer that I plan to place on youtube by the fall.

It had been several years since I last upgraded my Powerpoint application and this book was very helpful in explaining the new features of Powerpoint. I would recommond the book to any past user of Powerpoint.

This is one of my 16 month grandson's very favorite books, and has also been a huge help for me as I prepare for a trip to Mexico to work with kids there. That it includes both English and Spanish words for each picture is a great help, and overall it includes pretty much everything I have needed so far for conversing with kids up to age 4 in Spanish.My grandson also likes a similar Richard Scary word book in both English and Spanish, but if I had to choose between the two, this would be my clear favorite, partly because topics are more clealy organized, and partly because this book includes an index for both English and Spanish, allowing me to use it like a dictionary.Highly recommended!

I am an adult, but I purchased this for myself to round out the variety of beginner's Spanish books I have. I am very interested in learning this language, and after playing a Mexican card game that had illustrations on each card with some of my friends, I found that I was able to easily recall several of the words by associating them visually with the pictures. The photos and illustrations in this book are very nice, and will keep your eyes interested and easy to reference quickly, as each page is laid out by category. In the Contents section, you will find a wide and relevant selection of such categories, with the title of that category written in English as well as Spanish. Living in midwest United States makes it difficult to simply go to the bookstore and pick up a book suitable for toddlers to learn Spanish and English. This book I would definitly recommend to any parent for toddlers-3 years easily. Its hardcover, durable and has several pages with a lot of words, with accompanying clear pictures. I think the only thing I would have liked to see included is a phonetic way of pronouncing the words, especially for parents who have no previous knowledge of the Spanish language. There is plenty of content, so I felt like I was getting my money's worth.

I find it hilarious that Amazon has me fill out six questions about this book to post a review. IT'S A WORD BOARD BOOK! It is an awesome word board book, bu there is no plot, no real "writing" and narration? What it does have is a ton of common items and their translations. We saw this at a friends house house and my 1st grader thought it was a great help in his Spanish class. It's also been fun to hear him read the book to his younger brother who is just learning to talk. The content is great, the words clear and construction should last several kids!

I like it but is a small book .. And is good for home but no so good for teaching a bigger group is hard to see the picture from far because it has a lot of picture on 1 page ... But for my baby is perfect.

My native language is English, and I speak Spanish fairly well at a conversational level. I am speaking Spanish to my young son so that he will be bilingual. Much of my Spanish vocabulary is business- or government- related, so I got this book to learn words for everyday things. When chosen for that purpose, this book is wonderful. To give one example: beginning Spanish students usually learn "camisa" for shirt and "pantalones" for pants. This book has two large pages of words for specific articles of clothing (pajamas. shorts. raincoat, sweatpants, etc.) As other reviewers have mentioned, the pictures are outstanding and I'm sure my son will like looking at the pages when he's a little order.You do need a basic grasp of Spanish, and a good Spanish-English dictionary, to use this book most effectively. It does not have a pronunciation guide, so you need to be able to pronounce the words (which isn't hard, since Spanish reads phonetically). Also, most of the words are nouns or verbs, so to really be able to practice using them you need to know how to construct a simple sentence in Spanish.Be careful and check with a native Spanish speaker or with a dictionary if something doesn't seem right. As another reviewer has mentioned, the usage in this book seems to be South American (I would guess Mexican, but I'm not an expert.) I've found a couple typos ("el peinilla", for example, which should have been "la peinilla"). Also, it pays to check translations of unknown words in a dictionary. For example, there is a picture of a beaded bracelet with the English word "beads" and the Spanish word "pulsera". "pulsera" doesn't mean beads, it means bracelet.

I found this book of one liner's fantastic. I had a dull personality and was very shy until I started reading HENNY YOUNGMAN'S 10,000 One - Liners. Now who ever I meet, I say a couple of jokes and people feel more comfortable around me and I feel a lot more comfortable around people. For the first time in my life, I have much more confidence in myself than I ever had. I was always quite at parties, and stayed in the background. Now I really make people laugh and what a wonderful gift it is to make people laugh. This book has a table of contents for every occasion. Even one joke makes the whole difference in the my personality. Friends of mine who have not seen me in a few years, can't believe it..This book has photos of Henny Youngman and many comedians and actors.

i love Henny Youngman Jokes and Please keep finding me more to read of his brand of one liners. the jokes are good and fast and on all subjects. i find that i really like the old radio & vaudevillians, comedians. that brand of humor whether Benny Hope Skelton Burns Youngman Fields Durante are all good clean fun, oh and how could i forget Groucho. i don't seem to like the lame Saturday Night crowd of no talent idiots...they just have to be obscene and young to be on tv now, not good and funny like a Carson. just a great book ... Please.

Lots of his original lines and some I've seen elsewhere. But a good book, glad to have it.

Lots of therse one liners are not Henny Youngman type material. Several are repeated in different sections or, sometime, with just a few words changed, in the same section. It probably is 10,000 one liners which explains why the quality level is so low. It would be good for speakers who need humprous lines on a certain subject to liven up a talk.
