informative............if your 'into' making these. After viewing the book,, for me, while some knotting was not difficult, I decided it wasn't my cup of tea. I do find paracording interesting however and this book does what it claims........instructs. Nice illustrations also.

Although I have only looked through the book (on my Kindle) and the patterns seem simple enough, I found that when the dark color cord was used in a photograph it was difficult to see because of the dark or black background. This makes it terribly hard to follow the simple instructions. As I am approaching retirement at the end of my career, I am looking for a hobby that my wife and I can do while we travel. This seems perfect if we could see the details in the photos...

A skill level for everyone in this book and if you like the chunky look, it is a winner indeed! I have tried several of the patterns and am VERY pleased with my amateurish results. When I become proficient, I will be even happier. You will love it just for the novelty of these patterns, I promise.

Nice book with good patterns- too bad no one edited the photos! Impossible to see a dark or black cord against a black background. They should have looked at other books for examples. I would be wiling to buy it again if they fix the photos.

One of my favorite books in all the world. Desert island worthy. The writing is lucid and unbiased. The stories ring true and go deep into human experience. I didn't expect to like it at all since these things are generally not well described, but Carol Flinders' own reticence about people officially canonized by the behemoth institution that gave them so much grief during their lives matches my own rpm about iconified figures who happen, as it turns out, to have been remarkable and interesting people in their own right.It's a hard book to lend people because there aren't many of us who would give it a chance, but if you are reading the reviews here, you may find it nourishing to mind and heart.

I just finished this book and before I re-read it (which is what I intend to do immediately) I wanted to write this review. If you are looking for a book that will help you learn about women mystics, this is the book to read. If you are looking for a book that will introduce you to some dear friends you will want to visit with again soon, this is the book to read. The author juxtaposes beautifully written narrative with thorough scholarly research into stories that are both intellectually fascinating and pleasant to read. The notes, for me, were as interesting as the chapters and that reveals her skill as an author. It's a wonderful book and I recommend it as eagerly and enthusiastically as I introduce one of my good friends to another, certain that they will like one another and become good friends.

Carol Flinders does an excellent job of bringing to life these 7 women mystics. Her handling of this very esoteric material is very sensitive and enlightening; especially so since she does not reveal her own spiritual orientation. The truths she discusses herein are universal truths that saints of all religions experience in deep inner communion with the Divine. She describes these experiences very well as she tells the stories of the seven women. Excellent read for any one seeking a deeper inner experience with the Divine.

Enduring Grace: Living Portraits of Seven Women MysticsThis is an old title, but a goodie! The author of this book,Carol Flinders, writes just enough about each of the mystics to keep the reader interested. If you have ever read any of the autobiographies of the mystics you will understand what I mean. Flinders relates the stories of these seven mystics in a way which the reader of today can understand. Some of the feminist issues of the 12th through the 16th centuries are still hanging around today. The mystics are portrayed as deeply religious,empathetic feminists. They fought against an unfair system with grace and were successful enough to be remembered today. I lent this book to a friend. She liked it so much that she bought her own copy. You need to get this book.

I will start by saying that, although I was raised a Christian, I am not one now. So I approached this book with some caution. However, it is well written and makes the medieval world that these women dealt with very vivid. It also makes what they did and wrote very accessible. I have found a lot to think about in this book and it made me want to learn more about some of the things discussed. That said, it is not a book to sit down and read all at one go. I read it a bit at a time, taking it on trips with me and keeping it in the kitchen between times. It was well worth the thought I had to put into the reading.

I think the author missed an opportunity to include at least one modern times Mystic and thenpresented an in-depth comparison of treatment by others, acceptance/non-acceptance by peers, critics, etc.I bought this on Amazon.com.

Carol Lee Flinders did a superb job of making the mystics in her book come alive on the page as real persons living in a particular culture and particular time. Writing about mystics is not an easy task and making them real to a modern audience can be even more challenging. As a woman and a Catholic, I was surprised that Carol not being Catholic herself, could express so well the experiences these women had. Her scholarship, research, and writing skills were very evident. The book flowed and kept my interest with each biography. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about women mystics.

This is an extremely comprehensive strategy guide for the games. There is nothing more you can ask for in this book. It explicates everything, not only for new beginners, but gives complex/advanced tips as well for seasoned Pokemon trainers. This item was delivered on the exact day it was expected (release date) and in perfect condition.

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon: The Official Alola Region Strategy Guide (Pokemon (Prima Official Guide/Official Pokedex Guide))This is an excellent guide that walks you through the game in a way that is friendly to all players, whether you are new to the franchise or are a seasoned veteran of Pokemon like me. As an experienced player, I would like to know what the exact percentage chance is for meeting certain species of Pokemon in the various areas of the Alola Region. In addition, other guides online give you not only the lineup and levels of the trainers you face but also detailed information such as their abilities and move sets. Another slight drawback is that they often get the order of your opponent's Pokemon wrong, causing me to have the wrong team member in the lead and having to switch immediately and having another team member take unnecessary damage which can turn an easy victory into a nail-biter. These flaws prevent me from giving it five stars.

I have not bought a Pokemon strategy guide since Pokemon Gold/Silver on the GBC....and boy have I missed them! The guide instantly has that scent on it that reminded me of a freshly opened pack of Pokemon cards! Oh the nostalgia! This book is also loaded with contents. You will definitely get all the information you'll need from this guide to lead you through most of the game contents. The reason why I took a star off is the inconsistency in the ink in the book that I received. On a small number of pages, the small prints are smeared and some prints are simply faded out, similar to a toner head running out of ink as you're printing. This is disappointing to say the least as it would've been a perfect book, otherwise!!

This is a standard game guide for the Pokémon series. For every section of the world there is a map with icons to show you items that you can collect, and various lists of things you can do and Pokémon you can catch on each area.If you play Pokémon to catch *every* Pokémon and collect *every* item, I highly recommend this guide. In addition to the lists as you go along, there is a comprehensive list in the back that you can also reference for some types of items.

Most of everything is fine but my biggest let down was how the front was advertised with a “poster” when it’s just a smaller-than-paper mini ad cardboard thing. The guide helps and the paper quality is good however, just my personal disappointment if you were expecting a pin up like I was.

My son received this as a Christmas gift. He always loves reading from these guide books. They are his favorite books to look through and read. He is very excited to play the games described in the guide book.

I gave this as a present to my 10 yo nephew and he states it is very helpful for his gaming strategies.

it's fun to just play the game but always love the help from these books. have been using them since Pokémon Silver and they are always helpful, Pokémon world has a lot of secrets nd sometimes you need a little help.
