About the Author
Deddo, Ph.D. (systematic theology under James B. Torrance, University of Aberdeen), M.Div. (Fuller Theological Seminary), is an acquisitions editor for InterVarsity Press. Before that he was an associate director for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship's ministry to graduate students, with national, regional and local campus responsibilities (in Southern California and in Princeton, New Jersey). Deddo is an ordained Presbyterian minister (PCUSA) and has also served as campus chaplain at two universities. During the past six years he has taught systematic theology as an adjunct professor at Fuller Theological Seminary, Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (now Palmer Theological Seminary) and Eastern University. He has written a number of articles for journals such as The Scottish Journal of Theology and The Evangelical Quarterly. His book Karl Barth's Theology of Relations: Trinitarian, Christological and Human: Towards an Ethic of the Family is published with Peter Lang. With his wife, Cathy, Deddo also wrote George MacDonald: A Devotional Guide to His Writings with Selections (St Andrew Press, 1996).

After reading the Shack, this book reaffirms many of the statements in The Shack about how much God truly loves us. It helps to see how God can bring good out of evil and difficult times. This book also helped to explain about how God in His infinite Mercy allows sickness, even death, to our loved ones. As difficult as it is, God is always with us through these difficulties. It helped me a lot to understand the working of The Trinity. I highly recommend it.
Gary gives a brief and easy way to comprehend the theology of the Shack and how it corresponds to certain truths in scripture. One truth is That God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that he is good all the time.
This little pamphlet addresses some the questions I had while reading 'The Shack'. It is worth the read, but the price is high for 31 tiny pages.

It did not condemn "The Shack" instead it showed how it ties in with the "Bible". I have listened to the audio book "The shack" several times over the years. I am glad to have someone else like the book also.
